After a couple of rainy days enjoying the sight and sounds (and ale) of the Rochester Sweeps Festival with some lovely friends it's time to knuckle down and get on with some work. I'm adding a couple of new pieces that I made last week that have caused a rather welcome stir on my Facebook page (www.facebook.com/r1chp4ge) They hark back to a painting that I made in my first year at Art College (when the tutors finally got me to paint in colour) That painting has always preyed on my mind as I felt that I could have gone further down that route, however at the time I took a different more geometric path. It seems that after following that path for 15 years that painting has resurfaced. Clearly it's time to retrack and follow the other path! Rather exciting. Hope you like them, if you'd like to follow the development please *like* my page on Facebook to see work as it's completed. Happy Bank Holiday (I always think of my college friend Hannah Maybank at this time of year, her dad told her that this bank holiday was just for their family, the sort of gubbins that I tell my nipper!) Take care, richx
